Private Events

The Bucktown All-Stars are literally the ‘go to’ band for special events in New Orleans. Whether it be the New Orleans Saints, the King of Carnival, or a classic southern belle bride, the All-Stars pride themselves in their professionalism, high energy and most importantly, throwing the party!  It’s often been overheard that brides have booked their weddings around the All-Stars’ availability first, the St. Louis Cathedral second- quite a statement!  With an interactive horn section (you’ll see!) and instrumentation modeled after the Motown and R&B soul groups of the 60s and 70s, the All-Stars are able to move stylistically from Otis to Van Morrison to Sinatra- all with ease.  Four pieces of rhythm, four pieces of spicy horn, and raspy lead vocals is the recipe.  Pepper in sophisticated horn arrangements for good measure and a versatile brass section, and you could well end up with a classic New Orleans’ second line!

Our guests from New Orleans and Texas still cannot quit commenting on what a fabulous band we had!!  It also was really helpful having a bunch of professionals who could control the flow of the party and roll with some of the unexpected surprises (from helping me get a drunken aunt off the stage to playing a rockin’ ten minute second line while we waited (and waited and waited) for our horse & carriage exit to arrive), you guys helped make it all look seamless. Bucktown was better than I ever could have hoped and I’m trying to figure out how we can have another party with a band, in New Orleans.  Let me know if you have ideas.  I think I might have to start marrying off my friends!”
